READY TO MOVE IN

The last step of the job

What is an after-builders clean?

It’s the deep clean done when the trades finish and before you move in or open for business. It’s not a domestic clean: builders’ dust gets everywhere, plaster and silicone stick where they shouldn’t, and the windows are left with mortar marks and stickers. We work in stages, top to bottom and inside out, with product and machinery suited to each surface, until the only trace of the job is that everything is new. And since we’re a renovation company too, we know exactly what each trade leaves behind and where to start.

What’s included

What we clean when the job ends

This is what a full after-builders clean covers. It adapts to whatever the renovation has left behind in each case.

Fine debris and builders' dust

Small remnants removed and builders' dust vacuumed from floors, walls, skirting boards and suspended ceilings. It's the stage everything else depends on.

Plaster, paint and silicone residue

Plaster splashes, paint drops and silicone residue scraped and cleaned off floors, bathroom fittings, frames and switches.

Windows and joinery

Windows cleaned on both sides, with stickers, mortar marks and protective film removed. Frames, tracks and shutters included.

Floors and grouting

Mopped and polished to suit the material: porcelain, wood or stone. Freshly grouted joints are cleaned without damage.

Kitchens and bathrooms

Bathroom fittings, taps, shower screens and units inside and out, ready to use without lifting a cloth.

Commercial premises and new builds

Cleaning of premises before opening and of new developments before handover, with the team to do it in phases or all at once.

How we work

We come in when the last trade leaves

The after-builders clean is scheduled for the day after the final touches: not before, so nothing gets cleaned twice, and not days later, so the handover isn’t delayed. The team is our own, arrives with all the materials and machinery, and in most homes it’s done in a day. If we did the renovation, the clean is built into the works calendar itself and all you have to do is pick up the keys.

A tailored quote

How much does an after-builders clean cost?

It depends on four things you can see in a visit or a few photos. This is what moves the price.

That’s why we don’t publish set rates: with the square metres and a few photos of how the job was left, we’ll send a fixed quote, with no obligation and usually the same day.

Step by step

How we do an after-builders clean

The order matters more than the effort: if you mop before removing the dust up high, you clean everything twice. This is how we work.

01

Removal and vacuuming

Fine debris out, then builders' dust vacuumed from top to bottom: ceilings, walls, skirting boards and floors.

02

Stuck-on residue

Plaster, paint, silicone and mortar are scraped and dissolved with the right product for each surface, without scratching or staining.

03

Windows and joinery

Windows on both sides, tracks, frames and shutters. It's the stage you notice most when it's done.

04

Final pass and walkthrough

A final mop of the floors, bathroom and kitchen ready to use, and a walkthrough with you before handing back the keys.

Frequently asked questions about after-builders cleaning

The questions we hear most before people book. If you have another one, write to us with no obligation.

Removal of fine debris, vacuuming of builders’ dust, cleaning of plaster, paint and silicone residue, windows on both sides, floors, and kitchen and bathrooms brought up to standard. The home is left ready to move into.

It depends on the size, the type of renovation and the glazing, so there’s no single figure. With the square metres and a few photos of how the job was left, we send a fixed quote, usually the same day.

In most homes, one working day with the full team. Big renovations, villas or commercial premises can take two. If there’s a handover date, we reinforce the team to make it.

When the last trade has completely finished. Doing it earlier means cleaning twice; that’s why, if the renovation is ours, we schedule it within the works calendar itself.

Yes, everything: builders’ vacuums, product suited to each surface and the means to reach high glazing. Nothing needs to be in the home.

Yes. Commercial premises before opening and new developments before handover, in phases or all at once, to the developer’s calendar.

Of course. Most of our cleans come from our own renovations, but the service can be booked on its own just the same: it doesn’t matter to us who did the job.

The last step is a walkthrough with you. If a defect from the works shows up, we point it out before handing over; and if the renovation is ours, the same site team finishes it off.
